BDO in Cyprus joins the fight against plastic pollution

BDO in Cyprus has joined forces with the organisation 'Let's make Cyprus green' to launch free water refill stations.

Refill Cyprus is a behaviour change campaign launched by the organisation 'Let''s make Cyprus green'. The project aims to help reduce plastic pollution by making it easier for people to reuse and refill their bottles with free filtered water via water refill stations. The stations are sponsored by a number of supporters, including BDO in Cyprus., and it is hoped that the units will eventually be rolled out across the entire island.

Salomi Potamitou from the HR at BDO in Cyprus said: "We are living in an age where one million plastic bottles are used every minute all round the globe- and this number continues to rise. With a touch -free sensor on the side, these units will encourage people to stop buying water in plastic bottles that are often not recylced and end up polluting the enviroment"

The firm aims to support and participate in further enviromental projects as part of their ongoing commited to sustainability
